I. The absolute unity of our God:

A. Hear His words in Isaiah's record.

1. Isaiah 40:25, "To whom then will ye liken me, or shall I be equal?"

2. Isaiah 42:8, "I am the Lord: that is my name: and my glory will I not give to
another." This negates completely the theory that Christ was created by Jehovah God,
and later elevated Him to become "a mighty God" but not "almighty God." God said He
will not give His glory to another. If the so-called Jehovah's Witnesses are right,
the God lied about it here.

3. Isaiah 43:10-11, 13, "Before me there was no God formed, neither shall there be
after me." "I, even I, am the Lord; and beside me there is no Saviour." "Yea, before
the day was I am he; and there is none that can deliver out of my hand . . . ."

4. Isaiah 44:6, "Thus saith the Lord the King of Israel, and his redeemer the Lord of
Hosts; I am the first, and I am the last; and beside me there is no God."

5. Isaiah 44:8, " . . . . is there a God beside me? Yea, there is no God; I know not
any."

6. Isaiah 45:5, "I am the Lord, and there is none else, there is no God beside me" and
in verse 6, " . . . . I am the Lord, and there is none else." The same is recorded in
Isaiah 45:18.

7. Isaiah 45:21, " . . . . there is no God else beside me; a just God and a Saviour."
(Isaiah 46:9 adds, " . . . . and there is none like me." By these and many other
incontrovertible proofs, the false, hellish and devilish theories of that false
religious cult calling itself Jehovah's Witnesses are blown to pieces.

B. In Deuteronomy 6:4, remember, it is said, "the Lord our God is one Lord." Paul
states the same truth in I Corinthians 8:4, "there is none other God but one." How
then, in the light of the positive proof of many texts, can God be the Father, the Son
and Spirit and yet be one? Note how the word "one" is used and applied in the Bible.

1. Genesis 2:24, "they two shall be one" speaking of the husband and wife

2. Genesis 11:6, "the people (plural) is (singular verb) one."

3. I Corinthians 3:6-8, "He that planteth (Paul), and he that watereth (Apollos) are
one."

4. I Corinthians 12:13, "All baptized into one body."

5. I Corinthians 12:12, "the body is one and hath many members." Then in verse 14,
"the body is not one member, but many." Again in verse 20, "But now are they many
members, yet but one body."

6. John 17:22-23, Christ prayed regarding the 12, "that they may be one, even as we
are one," that is, the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

7. In the O.T., two Hebrew words may be translated by our English word, one:

a. "Yacheed" means "one" in the absolute sense. For example, "the only one." But this
word is never used of the unity of the Godhead.

b. "Echad" means "one," as representing a compound unity. It is the word that is
always used to describe the unity of Deity!

II. A comparison study revealing the co-equal deity of the Father with the Son: We
will list these texts in tandem; showing what is said of the Father, is also said
equally of the Son.

A. Both are "from everlasting"

1. Psalms 90:2, "even from everlasting to everlasting thou art God" FATHER

2. Micah 5:2, "whose goings forth have been from of old, from everlasting" SON

G. They share equally the title, the "Holy One:"

2. Acts 3:14, "Ye denied the Holy One and the Just" SON

H. Both created in the beginning:

1. Genesis 1:1, "In the beginning God created" FATHER included

2. John 1:1, "In the beginning . . . . all things were made by him: and also
Colossians 1:16 SON

I. Each is said to have made all things for Himself:

1. Proverbs 16:4, "The Lord made all things for himself" FATHER

2. Colossians 1:16, "All things created by him and for him" SON

J. Each has and claims a kingdom:

1. Psalms 145:13, "Thy Kingdom is an everlasting Kingdom" FATHER

2. Daniel 7:14, "There was given unto him a Kingdom . . . . which shall not be
destroyed" SON

K. Both are recognized as judge:

1. Genesis 18:25, "Shall not the judge of all the earth do right" FATHER

2. II Corinthians 5:10, "All appear before the judgement seat of Christ" SON

1. Romans 12:19, "Vengeance is mine, I will repay, saith the Lord" FATHER

2. II Thessalonians 1:7-8, "Taking vengeance on them that know not God" SON

M. Both are known by the reward they bring:

1. Isaiah 40:10, "The Lord God will come . . . . his reward is with him" FATHER

2. Revelations 22:12, "Behold I come . . . . and my reward is with me" SON

N. Each is designated as our hope:

1. Isaiah 43:11, "I, even I, am Jehovah; and beside me there is no Saviour" FATHER

2. I Timothy 1:1, "Jesus Christ . . . . is our hope" SON

O. Each is presented as the only Saviour:

1. Isaiah 43:11, "I, even I, am Jehovah; and beside me there is no Saviour" FATHER

2. Matthew 1:21, "His name, Jesus. He shall save his people" SON - "Christ Jesus came
into the world to save" (I Tim 1:15) SON - "Through the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ
we shall be saved" SON - "He became the author of eternal salvation" (Heb 5:9) SON -
"His Son from heaven . . . . even Jesus . . . . delivered us from the wrath to come"
(I Thess 1:10) SON - "Our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ" (II Pet 3:18) SON - "Neither
is there salvation in any other" (Acts 4:12) SON

P. Both said to be "life and light:"

1. Psalms 36:9, "With thee is the fountain of life: in thy light shall we see light"
FATHER

2. John 1:4, "In him was life, and the life was the light of men" SON

Q. Each is credited with swallowing up death in victory:

1. Isaiah 25:8, "He will swallow up death in victory" FATHER

2. II Timothy 1:10, "Christ hath abolished death" SON

R. Each will "wipe away all tears"

1. Isaiah 25:8, "He will swallow up death in victory" FATHER

2. Revelations 20:14 and 21:4 SON

S. Both are called "Master:"

1. Malachi 1:6, "If I be a master, where is my fear? Saith the Lord of Hosts" FATHER

2. Matthew 23:8, 10, "One is your Master, even Christ" SON

T. We are to serve none but God:

1. Deuteronomy 10:20, "Him shalt thou serve" FATHER

2. Colossians 3:24, "Serve the Lord Christ" SON

Such comparative texts could be multiplied. Yet these should serve to prove the
absolute unity of the Father and Son; as well as, their co-equal Deity. JM
